Judy Carmichael’s Jazz Inspired is made possible with generous support from Steinway and Sons, and YOU!

What inspires the people who inspire you? Each week on Jazz Inspired, Judy Carmichael explores this notion with creative people who love jazz. From Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane’s love of the Great American Songbook, to Robert Redford’s interest in Chet Baker, to John Lithgow’s jazz CD for kids to Renee Fleming’s years as a jazz singer, to a discussion of astrophysics and blues with NOVA’s Neal deGrasse Tyson, Judy explores it all, with celebrated artists who share her passion for education and the belief that everyone should enjoy and develop their own creativity.

Jazz Inspired, Inc. supports this effort as well as the educational programs Judy and her musicians conduct in schools across the country, discussing music, listening skills and how appreciation of both, enhances all aspects of our lives.

In November 2012, Judy Carmichael will partner with the U.S. State Department in Brazil to present educational programs in five major cities there and in March 2013 will work with the U.S. State Department in Australia with a major country-wide tour celebrating International Women’s Day with concerts and educational programs.
