This is from the Nieuw Amsterdam deck as we were leaving Horta, in the Azores, last night. This is the newest ship in Holland America’s fleet and she’s a beauty.

I almost missed the ship because the connection was too short and only by begging to butt in line at customs (at least 40 people let me pass) and looking especially desperate in front of the ticket agent, who called and held the plane, got me through. A tad stressful.
